As I reflect on the past few weeks, I think about all the ups and downs with learning from home and lockdowns. It has certainly been tough and this can affect people in so many different ways.

In what are very challenging and extraordinary times, for both students and parents, it is important to remember where our support networks are.

Last Thursday was RUOK Day, a timely reminder of an extremely important question. There are times when we all need to hear a smiling voice or an offer of help, so I’d like to set a very simple challenge; take a few minutes from your day and reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while and say hello. Ask the question. That one conversation may just make the difference to someone and help them through a tough day, a tough week or something even greater.

Thank you and have a wonderful week.
